Step 1: To Change Name in Voter ID Card Online, Visit the Voter’s Portal website https://voters.eci.gov.in/ or Click the link given below.
Step 2: If you have already an Account in the Voter Portal then Enter your Registered Mobile Number or Email ID and Password and click on Request OTP. Now click login after entering OTP.
- If you don’t have an Account, click on Create an Account. (For Register as a New User)
- Enter your Mobile Number and email ID( optional) and click on Continue.

Step 6: Now select the application for the Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll.
Step 7: Now you can select a language as per your comfort, by default it will be in the English language.
Step 8: State, District & Assembly/Parliamentary Constituency is auto-filled in Section-A and click on Next.
Step 9: Now enter Aadhaar number, Mobile number, and Email ID of self or any other relatives in Section-B and click on Next.
Step 10: Select the entries that you want to correct (Name), Fill in the full name, upload the name of proof in Section-C, and click on Next.
Step 11: Certify the Declaration by entering the place, and click on Next.
Step 12: Now enter the Captcha, and click on Preview and Submit.
Step 13: Preview the details and click on Submit a Reference number will be generated, keep it for checking the status of the correction.
